What is the STO?
An STO (School Tuition Organization) is a charitable organization that receives contributions from Iowa taxpayers and allocates those contributions, in the form of tuition grants, to Iowa school children. STO grants give the gift of school choice to families who otherwise could not to afford the tuition at a nonpublic school. Donors enjoy a 65% Iowa income tax credit and a federal tax deduction (if they itemize deductions).
